Sunday Afternoons…

Mood: Very good. Enjoying a glass of ice cold, delicious Cherry Coke.
Listening to: Elastic Heart – Sia
Still hooked.

h1C7FA67EI’ve been trying to gather my thoughts. I really want to write, but it’s difficult. I write down bits and pieces, but if it’s any good, I don’t know. I’m a word-slinger when it comes to writing movie reviews, but coming up with a story of my own is bloody hard.
That said. I read a little of Stephen Kings “A perfect Marriage” and it’s so good. I want that book. He makes it seem to effortless. Maybe I should get his book “On Writing” too.
I guess the thing is. Find a story that you think might be interesting to people, develop it and then publish. I’m sure there are more steps, but seriously, I’m by no means an expert. So, I have the story, and I’m trying to develop it.
Maybe I should find some music to help me set the mood. Music has almost always been a catalyst when I’m writing. The last writing spell I had was catapulted by Vangelis – 1492. A few of those melodies were very inspiring to what I needed them for. I think the problem is I don’t know what music fits to my story. Elastic Heart helps, but I need more. Enough of that. I wrote a little yesterday, and I should be happy with that.

When I got my pay for January I decided to get Fantasy Life for my 3DS. I LOVE THAT GAME!!! It is really addicting, and that’s not good. I have to play Animal Crossing too, or my towns people will move away. I already lost one. But she was replaced by someone really nice, so no worries. But I really love my towns people and I don’t want them to leave.
So, Fantasy Life. You can be whatever you want to be. I started my life as a mercenary. I figured that as a mercenary I was somewhat free to do what I wanted. Making money and so on. Then I decided to be a magician. The problem is that I get stuck. There are some really strong things I need to kill, and I’m whittling away 1 point at a time when they have like 1000 HP. So no. I ain’t doing that. I guess I just have to work at it and become stronger. But it’s very time consuming. And it hurts my neck.

I was planning on getting some Dark Souls in today, but I realized I had to plug things in and all that, and I just couldn’t be bothered. I saw Lobos Jr on Youtube playing and he gave me such great hints about things, so I’m totally going to try that when I get around to it. It’s really stupid of me. Honestly. I have this great game I’ve wanted to play for ages and I haven’t even beaten the Taurus Demon yet. How sad is that. It’s not like I can be scared of dying. I KNOW I’m going to die. That’s what the game was made for.. dying. I should be ashamed. I am ashamed. I’ll do better. I promise! Praise the sun!! \o/

Monday midday m-word…

Mood: OK, I guess. A bit headachy, but I’ll live.
Listening to: Lobos Jr play Dark Souls. He’s cheesing all the bosses that can be cheesed. I’m learning a lot here.

So, I’m trying something new again. This time it’s another Energy Drink. Burn Berry Blast, it’s called, and well.. I don’t know. It tastes like berries, oddly enough. It’s not the worst I’ve ever tasted, and it’s a good go-to if I need a boost.
Yeah, I’m gonna say I like it.
There are other Burn energy drinks. One regular, which I have no idea what tastes like and one Orange. I’ll try that one too in the future some time.
I still miss the Monster one I loved.
I wonder if this one will make me buzz like the Monster one did. It’s fitting that’ll I’ll buzz, tho, since I’m going shopping later. =D
I hope I find what I need. I need new pants and at least two sweaters.
We’ll see, and I’ll keep you posted.

I’ve also discovered, it’s rather late, I know, an artist who is an amazing artist. Sia. I first found out about her last summer when I heard “Chandelier”. My first reaction was “meh”. But then I heard it again and I caught the lyrics and the deeper meaning. And I got hooked on Chandelier. A few weeks ago “Elastic Heart” came out and it got a lot of bad press because Shia LeBeouf and Maddie Ziegler ARE SO FUCKING PEDO IN THE MUSIC VIDEO! OMG!!!
Again, the deeper meaning wins through, and it’s an amazing song and the video is amazing too.

I’ve listened to more of Sia’s stuff, and she’s pretty good. She’s also written loads of songs you’d never think wasn’t written by people who performed them.
Like:

and:

Anyway. I’ve gushed enough. Time to finished brunch.

OH!!! And congratulations to Stephen Fry and Elliot G Spencer on their marriage. I wish all the happiness in the world for you.

Lene

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Oh, and Merry Christmas too.
Yes, I knooow. Again, I’m so lazy. I’ve been thinking about updating and all, but then I just can’t be arsed.

Anyway! It’s a brand new year and I feel worn out already. OK, let me explain.
I had a little too much to drink last night and I was sitting on the couch, watching TV and singing along to

and

Seriously, I can’t get enough of them. So my throat is shot today.. and all the arm waiving broke my back. And I did work yesterday and I was carrying some heavy shit around. I’ll blame it on that. I’m not hungover, tho, so that’s a plus.

So, Christmas.
FOR Christmas I got:
Mum and dad: Money. Which is exactly what I asked for. I was invited on a mini cruise on the 10th of January, which I needed money for. But it’s been postponed till March, I think.. so I don’t know if I can go seeing as I don’t get much work. And that sucks. But I’m hoping the girls wants to go to Sweden on the 11th of January instead so I can get some shopping done.
Brother: A book! A Stephen King book. “Under the Dome” to be exact, which is also exactly what I asked for.
The Kids: Sake. Different kinds. And some cooking thing.. like Japanese curry. I’m super excited about the Sake. I don’t think I’ll drink them, tho. They are really so cute and decorative.
Granny: Money, but I used it for shampoo and hair treatment thing. I tried a new one, quite pricy one called Bed Head by Tigi. I got the Dumb Blonde one. Since I’m all blond now and pretty short haired I need something that takes better care of it.
Honey: A Samsung Galaxy Pro tablet (and SMS earphones. They are AMAZING!)
Aunt and Uncle: Chocolates, scratchy lottery ticket (didn’t win) and a magazine.
Friends daughter: I got a french tip manicure set, but I exchanged it for an Essie nail lacquer called muchi muchi. It’s really cute and pink. I already have like two french tip sets and I never use those, so I swapped it.
I think I’ve decided that I’ll stop keeping things that I’ll never use just to be nice. I still have a tube scarf from two years ago that I never use. Too late now.
Boss lady: Shea hand lotion. Two of them.. vanilla and pomegranate. They are really good.
Father in law: A muffin maker! =D It’s exactly what I wanted! I think he’s a mind reader. Or he has Twitter. I saw a youtube video of Cooking with Dog making Takoyaki. It’s like batter you make in a Takoyaki pan.. they are balls filled with shrimp or/and squid and other good stuff. I’m totally going to make those!

I guess that’s it. If I’ve forgotten anything then I’m really sorry.

This Christmas has really been hard on my hands too. Before Christmas two of my nails split really far down so they are a little crooked. Then I burned my thumb on something hot. And when I was making Christmas cookies I sliced one of my fingers in two.. well, not all the way down, but it was through the nail and it hurt. Then when I visited my dad I was helping him make dinner, slicing potatoes in half, I sliced my other thumb for good measure.ย  And yesterday when I was making swede stew I sliced my hand. I should just stop making things.

So yeah. On the 22nd of December lovie and I went to visit my family in Bergen by train. Night train. We almost slept.
It was really nice to see them all again. It was a really nice Christmas celebration. Even though the whole thing with mum and her dick of a money grabbing asshole “boyfriend”, it was a really lovely celebration. I’m not going to get into that. I don’t need bad mood.

Anyway. I hope you all had a great Christmas and that your new year will being you nothing but happiness and joy.

Be good to each other.
Lene

Yes, yes. I knoow. But… I’ll explain.

First I need music ๐Ÿ˜‰
Listening to: Nicki Minaj – Anaconda (don’t judge. It’s catchy as shit)
Mood: So good, dude.

So, it’s been a good long while since I posted. I’ve been so busy. Like.. doing nothing.
Well, I wouldn’t say nothing. I’ve got Twitter now. I’ve got 4 people following me. Step-daughter, hubby, my aunt and a guy I have NO idea who is.
There was one woman, I think, who wanted to follow me. She was called Bigbreasedcleavage or something like that. I blocked her. Right now I’m following NASA. They are sending up a new rocket names Orion. It’s just a test thing at the moment. Hopefully it’ll be able to bring people to Mars in the future.

Anyway. I was asked, this was last month, if I wanted to come along on a mini cruise to Kiel with my friends. =D
Of course I said yes. One of them got a five free ticket thing from her boyfriend. So if we get to go that’s sweet. However, if we don’t I suggested that we’d go on an all out shopping trip to Sweden instead. At least Sweden is open on Sundays. :p
Not that we’ll be going there on a Sunday. It doesn’t matter… never mind.
Seems like it was received well enough. They all seem to want to come along. And I visited the huge mall’s website, and visited some of the stores and they have so many nice things. I just hope they have as many nice things when we get there.
(Ravel – Bolero)

SO… It’s December already. Time flies. It’s like it was August not too long ago and things were nice and warm. Now they are not nice and warm. They are actually pretty Silent Hill outside, and I don’t like it. If you’ve seen gameplay of that you’ll see what I mean. I think I’d shit myself if I heard static right now.

What else. Oh yeah. There’s been this whole issue with my mum, but I don’t really want to talk too much about it here. Not that she and I have had issues. But she’s been giving her new bf money to survive in England and ended up skint. And then there were thoughts of him being an asshole and nicking money off her and taking off, which he didn’t. But I did lend her some money so that he could get to Turkey to sell her apartment there.. and then he ended up incarcerated for being in a fight, which he wasn’t, and then he was leaving England and he was incarcerated again for the same thing.. and then there was a trial and yeah… kitchen sink. He was found not guilty of being in the fight, tho, so that’s good.

Other than that nothing really exciting has happened. Not that I can remember, anyway. I should really do a weekly thing of these. HAH!
Or at least take notes so that I remember what to write about. Oh well.

Take care of yourself and each other.

Down memory lane…

Mood: Sassy
Listening to: New kids on the Block – You got it (the right stuff).

I have no idea how this got started. I was watching “Mail with Matt #3” with Matthew Santoro on you tube and surfing through Icanhaz Music section.. and I caught an acapella of Daft Punk “One more time” and “Get Lucky”, so I searched for “One more time” on you tube.. and then for some reason I started thinking about an old french anime series I used to watch as a kid called “Spartakus and the Sun beneath the Sea”. So I searched for it.. and I found it.. and watched some of it.

I think it was like the last two episodes of the whole series or something, so I decided to stop… and then, since I was already down the rabbit hole, I searched for New Kids on the Block. I don’t know what the hell I was thinking. I need some Metallica. “Whiskey in a Jar” will do nicely.
This whole NKOTB thing reminds me of this summer and us planning on having music in the party tent and my brother not wanting to listen to MY mp3 player cause it might have NKOTB on it. I informed him that my taste in music has gotten LOADS better.

Anyway… I was at a party at a friends house about a week ago and I tried to find Whiskey in a Jar with Metallica, and I couldn’t on her iPad thing connected to some music thing. Well, what’s the point if you can’t get access to ALL the music in the world if you pay for it??? It was Spotify, by the way. I just couldn’t for the life of me think of the name. ๐Ÿ˜›
So yeah. If you pay for music, then I feel you should get ALL the musics. So it was really a tiny party pooper. But at least they had Blink 182, so that’s good.
So yeah. Party. It was a blast. I hadn’t had any dinner that day, and the party started at 6pm. I thought she’d serve up something other than snacks, but no. There were only snacks. So I got drunk pretty fast. And then I cooled of for a bit. No need to get smashed, am I right?

Then on Thursday I got a new haircut. Or should I say; I did my roots and took care of the ends. After that we went to Sweden and did some shopping. Got a duck, some beef and a pork roast.

I’ve also bought stuff on ebay. I got a new cover for my cell phone. It’s of the TARDIS! <3
And it’s really fitting because I picked up the thread on the show again. Go River Song!!!
I also bought Harry Potter Lego years 1-4 and 5-7. I could be playing now, but I’m updating.

What else?
Oh yeah. I went with my friend to the Mall where I work with her little girl. We had a great time. At least I did. We looked for some stuff and then baby wanted to walk. So she did. Held on to my hand and walked. She just started a few days before and now that she’s found her legs, she’ll be all over the place.
Then we went for food and I spoon fed her. It’s the first time that’s happened. I’ve never fed a kid before. I guess there has to be a first for everything.

Other than that nothing much has happened.
A friend of mine posted loads of Whose line is it anyway in her blog, and I thought I’d do the same.. not loads, but a little one.

Mhm

Be nice with each other.

The latest news…

Mood: Oh, very good…
Listening to: Movie, or a TV series, rather. Quatermass and the Pit. It’s pretty good for being made in the late 50’s. But then I do like those old science-fiction things. This Quatermass thing has been done at least three times, I think. This series I’m watching now, a movie and yet another movie, I think. Could be that the last movie is a figment of my imagination. The movie I’m thinking of, however, is grand. One of my favorites.

So, an update.
I’ve been working and I’ve been playing some games. I got a new game from Steam the other day. It’s a hidden object thing. For some reason I really enjoy those games.
I also found a cassette to mp3 converter. And it works. I haven’t started converting The Lord of the Things yet, but I have converted Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with chickens and sheep, which I recorded off the radio AGES ago and it still cracks me up, and it works wonderfully. I guess it’s just the time consumingness I know will go into converting everything. But I will do it.. one day.
I wish I could post the melody here, but I’d have to make a video for it.. I guess I could try something… Using Minecraft animals. We’ll see.

OMG! IT’S WORKING!!! NEVER MIND!!! XD XD XD

So, I’ve started the process of me getting a drivers license. I called one of the local driving schools and asked what I had to do to get started. Like do I have to get my health checked, my eye sight and so forth. The lady I talked to, upon hearing my age, said I could have started driving ages ago. The only thing I needed was a first aid course and Night driving. So since I was talking to her anyway I got a place in the first first aid course coming up. And that was this past Thursday. It was more a refresher course, really, for me. All the knowledge was there.. it was just putting it all in the right order. And basically, it’s better to do something than to drive past and not try. Which eventually will cost you your license anyway.
SO. Yesterday I drive for the first time. It was the basic starting out type driving. Putting the car in reverse, backing up, stopping, putting the car in first gear and driving forward. And remembering everything your feet have to do. As of now it seems like a small nightmare, but it was the first time. And I didn’t blow anything up… Things will get better with practice. And I had fun, which is also important.
So yeah. I’m excited.
I sent a picture of the car to my parents yesterday.. with the words; “First time driving.”

Just so you know. This was NOT my fault. This was hubby, driving a lift into the car earlier this summer. I told my parents afterwards that it was a joke. He he.
And hubby also has been joking about this bump. Or… withheld the truth, is more like it. When he had made the bump, a friend of his came to help with something and saw the bump and asked if it had happened when we were at IKEA. Hubby hadn’t really answered… to which the silence was probably interpreted as anger on his part that someone would do a hit and run.
More people saw the bump and hubby continued to answer with silence.
So a lot of people think we’ve had our car hit by some asshole at IKEA.
But it’s been fixed now. Hubby and the neighbor spent a few weeks doing what people do to cars to make bumps go away.

So, if I should happen to crash the car, I’ll post it here.. and now say anything.. just be mad. Maybe people will think I didn’t do it. ๐Ÿ˜›
I’m not planning on crashing the car, tho. But I’ll keep you guys posted on my progress.

Be utterly excellent to each other.

Lene

UPDATE!!!
I drove about a kilometer today. BOJAH!!!
Small steps and all that. We drive out to my father in law today and from the start of the long dirt road to his house I drove. I even changed gears.
I did not kill the motor. I did not crash into the fields. I did not run over the poor lady walking her dog. I feel so good right now. XD

Gaming and me

I honestly can’t say I remember my first experience with a console or handheld device. I think it might have been a Nintendo Game & Watch; Donkey Kong jr.

I still have it. It uses LR44 batteries, and I haven’t played it for years. I remember it being very difficult at the time. And I remember that last time I played it, a few years ago, it wasn’t really that hard at all. I need to get some batteries and play it again. My brother had Donkey Kong, which was a lot cooler because it was a flip open type thing.

This one was a lot more challenging, but I’m sure it’d be a breeze now. My parents has a flip open thing, too. It was called Green House and you had to kill slugs or caterpillars. It wasn’t that fantastic, but it was entertaining and I still have that one too. My best friend had one too, but I can’t remember what that one was.
Later my brother and I got a Soundic MPT-03. Or at least I think it was that one.

It has some spectacular games on it. Break away, 3D bowling, 3d soccer.. or soccer. At least I think it was the Soundic. If it wasn’t that one it was the Emerson Arcadia 2001. But the Soundic looks a lot more like the one I have in my minds eye.
It was alright, I guess, for that time. We were young and didn’t have anything to compare it to. Not until my brother bought his Commodore something. That was fantastic. The graphics were AMAZING! compared to the bit thing of the Soundic. I remember he had a Donald Duck game. You had to get the right item on the right shelves and not break anything. And then there was the Olympic games. We got pretty good at wiggling that joystick.

It had some fantastically big floppy disks. And they seemingly could take a beating. I remember high jinx involving some leftover fireworks on a plate or something which were set a light… and floppy disks melting.. and still working.
There were also cassettes that he needed to play some games. I can’t remember which games, but it doesn’t matter. It was probably one of the fun ones.
Sweet 8-bit fun.

After years and years had passed we finally got a home computer. The games got better along with graphics. We, my brother and I, started playing games like Diablo.. and whatever else we could get as a demo for free.
There was one game which came with the computer. “The Lost mind of Dr. Brain”. I didn’t beat that one till after I moved here. It was a lot more fun to play it with the kids.
Another thing that came with the computer, and I don’t think it can be defined as a game, was a newspaper making thing. You could write articles, put in pictures and stuff. It was really fun. Especially after I figured out that I could direct translate things into English. And then all of a sudden things made no sense at all.
I can’t remember if I started playing The Sims before or after I moved here. I think it was after. I think the kids started playing and suggested I’d do it to.
So after I moved here I started playing more. I got my own computer, so it was easier. I played Diablo II, Sims 2 and later 3… and other fun stuff like Worms.
I also played Worms on my dads computer. I remember naming the loser team after all those dicks who teased me as a kid.

And now I have a PS3 and still my lovely computer. It’s old, the computer is, but she’s working and that makes me happy. I am planning on building a gaming computer for myself. Since I bought some games on the Steam summer sale, like LA Noire and Don’t Starve, I need something that can actually handle it, and I’m afraid my old girl can’t. But on her I have Minecraft, Starbound, Terrarria and more.
On the PS3 I still have some games I haven’t tried. Well, one. Dead Space 2. I wanted to save it. If I get a Roxio game capturer I’ll make my first playthrough of it on Twitch. At least, that’s the plan. And there are still games I want for it. Like Lego Harry Potter.
I’ll keep submerging myself in the pleasures of gaming. There still isn’t enough hours in the day. And there are all these distractions… Like music and Rooster Teeth.. and blogging. It’s a good thing I plan on getting old.

Stay toasty.

Lene

Lene tries new stuff:

Today: Smoothies.

A friend of mine said these were delicious. So I decided to try them out.

This can contains:
1 apple
1/2 mango
1/3 banana
1/2 orange
citrus juice and passion fruit juice.
What I thought about it? Meh. It was sweetish, sowerish, thickly not pleasant.
Of course, it’s a taste thing. This didn’t appeal to me, but I’m pretty sure there are LOADS of other people who love them. My friend being one of them.. especially the orange one.
They also had a pink one which I tried…

This can contains:
1/2 pressed apple
5 strawberries
1/4 apple mush
1/5 banana
guava
5 aronia berries
passion fruit joice
How did I like it? Not at all. This was even worse than the orange one. Where the orange one I could drink the whole can, this one I couldn’t even finish. I took one sip, tried another one and then gave up.
Again, personal taste.

It’s kinda weird that I didn’t like these. I love fruit and know I don’t eat enough of them. So this could have been a wonderful addition to the fruit I eat. So I guess I’ll have to stick to eating the fruit and veg I normally.. just try to eat more of them.
So, in conclusion. Even though I didn’t like them, you might. So try them out if you want to.
And I urge you to try at least one new thing a month. Challenge yourself to try new things. I hope I find something new I can try out. If I do I’ll post it here.

Lene

What can I say. I suck.

Mood: Pretty good.
Listening to: RT podcast crew playing Diablo III

A LOT has happened since the last time I posted.
Update on my feet. They were smooth as a babies butt. Now they’ve started getting rough and hard skinned again. Would I recommend the Exfoliating Foot Sock? Oh, yes. I’m totally getting a new pair and I’ll totally exfoliate my feet again. So, for me the effect of smooth skin lasted for about a month.

I’ve also had a birthday. Before that I cut my hair. I’m still quite blond. Actually more blond now than I used to be. But I’ve got short hair now. I was supposed to look like this:

But the hair dresser cut it too short.. and I think she got too hung up in matching the color. I’m not displeased with the hair-cut, don’t get me wrong. I just have to get used to styling my hair before I can get it to look like this. One thing I’ll try to do a day I don’t have work for a few days is go nuts with the blow-dryer and spray wax.

So yeah. My birthday. The big 37. Well, it’s not really THAT big. But it really doesn’t matter. I feel 20 in my head.
For my birthday I got money.
Mum: A beautiful necklace with matching bracelet and ear-rings. Silver with sapphire, I think. It’s purple stone.
Dad: Money!
My brother: Captain Morgan and Dr. Sleep by Stephen King.
Granny: Money
Aunt and Uncle visiting for my Mother’s 60th birthday: Money.
The money is really going to come in handy. Before my vacation started a costumer came in to get some stuff. She told us that she was having a party. An opening of a FUCKING TATTOO SHOP RIGHT UP THE STREET FROM ME PARTY!!!!! So yeah. I need the money for ink =D

We’ve also been away for our vacation. We went to Gudbrandsdalen to go fishing. I was lucky. I was so lucky! I caught the biggest fresh water fish I’ve ever caught. It was about 1,2 kg. and, without the head, as long as my lower arm. 40 cm long/15,5 inches long, big, fat, pink in the flesh. I can’t wait to have it for dinner.

Yumm…
As for the luck. I had a big tangle of line I was untangling, and as I started to reel in the line to recast the sucker was on. The fishing rod looked as if it was going to snap in half.. it was bent so bad. And I couldn’t get the break on the reel, so as I was trying to reel it on, it got to a point where the fish was too heavy. But eventually I won. I was so happy. I was ecstatic. It was such a rush. Now I know why people fish for salmon. Imagine reeling in for hours… It took me a few minutes to get this one on land. And I really didn’t want it to get away so I grabbed the gills, over the back, and squeezed. I looked like I had been in a very bloody battle. I cut the throat and it was gushing. Ah, memories. ๐Ÿ™‚
She even had eggs.
So, we were going to be away from Wednesday to Sunday, but when we woke up on Saturday it was raining, and the forecast said rain the rest of the day. So we went home. It was just as well. We went home to our new shower. =D
The day before mum dad and my brother came to visit, we decided to put up a new shower. We were supposed to get help, but then he said he couldn’t. Of course.
So, without instructions, because even though the pamphlet said the QR-code would bring us to the instructions, the link didn’t work. So we had to work blind. We had a picture of it, so we knew how it would end up looking. It took us half a day to set up. And it was worth it because it is AWESOME! I have like a tropical mist shower in the shower head. I love it.

What else…
Oh yeah. While we were camping we were fishing in the water outlet for the power station. It’s totally safe, unless you jump in.
I fish in the outer thing, but there are two outlets where you can fish. They get filled with loads of floating stuff, though, so it makes fishing hard.
The first day we were there I noticed a strange smell, but I thought nothing of it and fished. I looked into the outlets and saw what looked like a boat fender thingie. The next day it was there still. The last day I took a closer look and saw that what I thought had been where you attach the rope on the fender thing, was actually paws. The more I looked the more it dawned on me that this was most likely a dog. A dead, bloated dog. So many things went thought my head. What I was hoping for, even though it’s really sad, was that the dog accidentally fell into the water and drowned. What I hope didn’t happen to it was that it was thrown in . It still sucks, though. And it made me sad.

There’s the outer thing where I fish. The opening in the right corner is where the outlet is.. and so is the one next to it. The one with the branches in it is the one the dog was in. Of course, I’m not sure it was a dog. I couldn’t see the head. It might have been some other kind of dog-like animal.
Also, if you look closely at the picture, about in the middle of it.. that’s me.. =D

Also, hopefully I’ll start getting my drivers license. It would be so sweet.
I also got some Trind stuff to make my nails suck less. It’s Nail Repair and Cuticle Balsam. I have to use this stuff for two weeks, and then I’ll let you know if I like it or not. If it has helped.
I guess that’s it for now.
If I can think of more stuff I’ll post it. I’ll try to do it more often. Especially since I’ll be trying out new stuff, foods, products and so on, to see if they are any good and to let you know/see (maybe) the results.

But now I have to get ready for work.

Stay wonderful.

Lene

I try out some new stuff.

Mood: Pretty good.
Listening to: Achievement Hunters play Minecraft; the Galacticraft episodes. They are hilarious.

So, a week ago, after about two months of not working, I worked. Yay. While at work I took the round to see what new stuff we had gotten in and stuff. I found Delicate Touch Exfoliating Foot Sock. It’s a foot mask treatment that will make your skin slide right off. OK, that’s a gross overstatement. It removes hard skin/calluses over time.

“Exfoliating Foot Mask is a foot exfoliant plus treatment filled in a pair of wearable mask sheets. Put on the mask as you would your socks. It removes all calluses over time, visibly smoothing your feet within 2 weeks. Papaya, Lemon, Apple, Orange and other natural botanical extracts remove calluses while Chamomile Extract calms freshly exfoliated skin.”
One pack with two socks cost KR 99,- at -nille.

So, on Monday I put the socks on and left them on for a little over an hour, and then I rinsed it off with water, like it said in the directions.
I was expecting something… but nothing happened. For days nothing happened.
Then yesterday, while I was putting on socks before going to work, I saw skin lose under my feet. It looked like I had had a blister and it had emptied. I could feel something under my feet the whole time I was at work, and when I came home and went to bed I found out why. There was so much skin… it was flaking of like mad.

So at the moment my heels are flakey. I can’t wait for all the skin to finish flaking and my feet to be baby-butt smooth (please to disregard my ugly, broken shoes. I need new ones, and I haven’t had the time to look for new ones in Sweden.).
It looks like I’ve got an illness of some sort, but it’s fine. It doesn’t hurt. But you get the idea. I’ll keep you guys updated in my feet… I’ll try to remember to post something on Monday, one week after.

Be utterly lovely to each other.
