Monday morning…

Mood: Pretty good.
Listening to: Red vs. Blue on Youtube… a very funny show made by Rooster Teeth. Check it out.

Speaking of Red vs. Blue.
I have been putting it off for ever because I’m not into the whole Halo thing, but the show is loads better than I thought it would be.
I decided to give it a try. I had already watched all their pod casts a few times, so I wanted something new. So I started with season 1 and watched it while I was knitting… and when I went to bed I was on season 5. And I’m continuing now. I did watch some of the episodes after I went to bed, but I lost a lot of the thread because I was reading “Hannibal” too.
But I do urge you to check out Red vs. Blue.
What else is new?  Nothing really. Annoying costumers are still annoying. Awesome costumers are still awesome. I worked every night last week and all day Saturday, so I’ve been pretty beat. Good thing Sundays are “relax and have a drink” day. We also ordered pizza yesterday. It’s HUGE! One of those huge pizza’s is enough for 4 people… now we have two pizza dinners in the freezer.
The pizza guy even gave me the pizza sour-cream dressing thingie for free.
I really don’t have anything exciting to tell. Been too busy working and stuff for cool things to have happened to me.
We did see “The Thing”, the new one, the other day… well, I came home from work and there it was… but it was already like 50 min into it and I want to see the whole thing. But now I can’t find it again… and THAT bug the shit out of me.
Yeah, I’m knitting a sweater. I’m working on the back piece and so far so good. I’ll post a picture of it when I’m done…. or something. It’s knitted with alpaca wool and it’s so soft! I can’t wait for it to be done. I’ll never freeze again.
But now I’ll have some chocolate milk.
If anything exciting happens, I’ll post it.

Minecraft Diary entry: new…

Dear Diary.

I have had some horrible days. I moved on from my old home and found a mountain to dwell on. I like the area. I have woods near by, snowy woods, swamps and seas. I also have loads of new grounds to explore, and I have been. I’ve got enough gold and iron now to make whatever I need. Although, even though I wasted a lot of the gold on a Tower Of Pimps (see RoosterTeeth on Youtube.. they have a Minecraft let’s play which is hilarious), I feel I have enough. Of course it doesn’t hurt to have more.
So, I was exploring and found a craves which had almost everything I’d ever want. When I came to the surface again I realised I was lost. So very, very lost. I started to walk, and I walked and walked… and I realised that I might fall of a cliff and die, so I made a shelter, made a chest and put all the important things I wanted to keep in it; gold, diamonds, enchanted books and so forth. I even had the foresight to write down the coordinates to the shelter. I went on, hoping I’d find my way. After days of walking I got caught out in the rain… and after circling the same mountain range three times I made another shelter, put all the thing I wanted to keep in a chest, wrote down the coordinates and jumped off a cliff. It was the only way I could think off to get home. It was first when I got back home that I noticed I had forgotten to write down the z: coordinate. *sighs* I DID take a screenshot of the first shelter, so I had the z: thing there, but I tried to find it, but… I almost got lost again. And it was on this reconnaissance mission that I found the exit to the massive cave I had been in, and it was RIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FUCKING MOUNTAIN FROM WHERE MY HOUSE IS!!!! I could punch a baby.
Needless to say I haven’t found my secret hideouts yet, but I won’t give up. The new map system sucks, by the way. Having loads of tiny maps doesn’t help me at all! I know I can stitch them together, but ain’t nobody got time for dat!
So, I was out looking for cows. I needed leather to make books. Damn it, I have an enchantment table and I intend to have hieroglyphs jump from the bookshelves to the book. It’s cool! So anyway.. I was run-jumping to make up for lost time, I had found a tiny hole to dig for coal and iron, and I thought I was lost when I got up… so I ran.. and jumped.. and suddenly the ground was gone. I had time to look up and see that hole I was falling down.. and I looked down, seeing the ground come screaming towards me.. it was dark.. and was thinking: “FUUUUUUUUUCK!!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!” and a waterfall caught me and placed me gently on the bottom of the chasm. I was relieved. I hardly ever make sounds when I play, but this time a moan of defeat escaped me. I managed to find my way out and eventually made my way home. I think I need to make some kind of marker so that if I get lost again, then I might stumble upon them and get home faster. I’ve tried stacking cobblestone and putting torches on them, but that’s not good enough. Maybe if I plant them closer…
And Endermen! I had one outside my house… and that was something I noticed in the other house too…. they raged… They aren’t suppose to rage if you look at them through a window, but they did. I looked at them and they started to shake with rage. I was worried he’d teleport into my house and attack me.
Please tell me it’s something new and that I don’t have psyco endermen in my game…
Callisto sure is a scary place.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Mood: Pretty darn good.
Listening to: Lonely Island – Cool guys don’t look at Explosions (I didn’t even know this song existed until I heard it on Geekcounty’s Twitch channel when they were invaded by a guy with mad codes…. You had to be there. It was SO fucking funny).

So, a new year.
As always I don’t have any resolutions. I don’t believe in them. All I can do is be a better me, and that’s a life goal and not a resolution.
As for yesterday. It was a very quiet day. We didn’t have a huge party, partly because Jan had work in the morning and because we didn’t really feel like it. But I did make roasted duck. As far as I know it’s the first time. I think I made Peking duck once, or tried to… but I’m not sure.. I know, it’s weird to not remember food, but there you go. It was a smashing success. Even though I didn’t have molasses for the glaze I made due with the honey and other things that I had. I’m totally going to make it again. Jan suggested that we’d do a goose upcoming new year and why not. But for a goose I think we’ll need more people.
With the duck I served potatoes and a creamy mushroom sauce. It was mmm-m good.
And then there was the fireworks. We didn’t have any because we don’t want to waste money on it. Our neighbours spend loads, so we enjoy watching theirs instead. But last night was so foggy I could hardly see anything. And with the droopy weather we had I had more a feeling of WW3 than New Years Eve. Especially when the fog horn started to sound.

Anyway. I hope this new year is good to you and that whatever dreams and hopes you have will come true.

Happy Christmas!

Mood: Fantabulous!
Listening to: Jordan and Mitch on Twitch playing League of Legends.

So, Christmas is well and truly over.. We’re waiting for New Years Eve with excitement, however I think it’ll be a quiet and rum filled day.
The Mayan Chalender ended on the 21st, and as you know there was speculation that things would not go well for the world. It seems, however, that people were out of their minds and the world didn’t end. No way…
Jan and I were waiting for 12.11 pm (that’s when it was supposed to end) and when it came around we were looking around and at each other, hoping something would happen. But nothing. We were kinda disappointed.
Any who. I’ve been working a lot lately, not used to it, so I was pretty tired when Christmas came around. Linda and I had a great time at work on the 24th, tho (Our Christmas eve when we open pressies and eat loads of food), and it’s become a tradition, it seems.  Jan was really sweet too. He made us smoked salmon and scrambled eggs sandwiches for us to enjoy. It was so delicious.
And then I made dinner. Dried lambs ribs which is re hydrated and then steamed. It’s an old recipe :p
Camilla and Espen were here too, which made it extra nice. And now we come to the pressies:
I got what I wanted from my parents and brother: Money.
From Camilla and Espen: a gift card (which is really great. It was from H&M’s and as far as I know they are the only one selling Hello Kitty socks and they also have those nice nail files I like… and nail polish).  And we got a gift basket with cider, jams and other preserves.
From Linda: A scarf which was really nice and Winnie the Poh socks.
From my boss: A lovely flower. Which is really bad because the poor thing won’t survive her.
From work: I wasn’t really supposed to get anything, but they sent one of these too many, so I got one anyway. A loudspeaker, rechargeable for iphone, ipod, mp3 android cells etc. It has a REALLY nice sound to it.. much better than the cheap crap I had.
From my aunt and uncle: A really swanky handcream and an pre anti-wrinkle cream.
Father in Law: a toaster (joined for both Jan and I).
From Jan: A really nice necklace with a peace sign.
From Jan’s coworker: A gift basket with cider, jams and other preserves.
I think that was about it.
And now I’ll continue enjoying myself and the great food I’m making.. and all the candy and goodness we have.

Be utterly excellent to each other! 😉

Finally an update

Mood: Good, but I’m sick, so pity meeeeee DX
Listening to: Some guy on Youtube making ghost videos with his friends. If he wasn’t a tutorial making guy of “how to make vids” and stuff it’d be a lot more believable. Gotta give him props for trying, tho.

So. I haven’t written in ages. I’ve been busy and lazy. I’ve also been to Kiel on a mini cruise with Jan. Of course we weren’t alone. Jan’s oldest sister came along with her two kids, Jan’s youngest brother came along with his partner and their daughter and her boyfriend, a friend of Jan’s who helped him with some stuff.. and he brought his wife, and a work buddy of Jan’s who brought along his wife and their daughter. Their daughter is just cute as a button, by the way. If I were to adopt anyone, it’d be her.
So we left on Saturday 8th of December, got to Oslo by train at around 11.35 or so. I hurried to the tourist office to visit Camilla and get the cheaper buss tickets for the buss to the boat. Before that, tho, I told them that they needed to go right to the buss platform…. keep this in mind…
I got the tickets and hurried to the buss platform. On the way I got a phone from Jan asking where I was. I said I was at the buss platform and where the hell they were. And he said “Oh, we’re going to the buss platform?”
So I had to guide them from wherever they were to where I was. They finally made it… and I was stressed. But we all got on the bus in time and got to the boat. Well on the boat we found our room and settled in, somewhat. We had a room at the very front of the ship with a view of the “King of the World” spot. So, I sat in the window as the boat left port and Jan went out on deck. After that we hit the first nice bar we could find. This was around 2:30 pm… and we kept it going till around 2.30 am. No, I wasn’t drunk. I wasn’t even tipsy. But I did have a great time.
The only down side to the trip was that all the stores in Kiel were closed because it was Sunday. There was a big ass shopping mall there which was open, but the stores in it were closed. So we wandered about for a bit and found the railway station… where there were some stores open, luckily. We also found a Pizza Hut where we had pizza. I also got to try out my German… I found out that I could fool the locals, but when they started responding in German I was stumped :p
But it was fun while it lasted.  We got back to the boat again and shopped and everything one usually does when one has access to duty free stuff. But we did see that a lot of the things there, although the packs of the things were larger, it has about the same price as in Sweden.  The only thing that is way cheaper in Germany is booze. I got three bottles of Captain Morgan “Spiced Gold” all brought into the country legally. Two bottles brought in by Jan and myself and one bottle brought in by Jan’s brother who didn’t bring in anything else.
But now I should start to get ready for work.
If I remember anything worth mentioning about the trip, I’ll do so when I remember.

Minecraft Diary entry?

(I finally, I think, figured out why Minecraft wouldn’t work on my old computer. After deleting the antivirus, and installing a new one, I seem to have gained the RAM I need to run the game. Which means my old saves are in play again. YAY.)

Dear Diary
I finally got back to my old house; the one where the Enderman teleported through when it was raining. As much as I loved that old house I decided to grab as much cobblestone and glass as I could and I headed out into the wilderness. I wanted to find a place that was close to the jungle, the desert and the woods. And I found a somewhat suitable place. On the way I found a dog and made him my pet. I’m so happy! The house turned out great, by the way. It has a row of windows giving me a panoramic view all around, also giving me good lookout for bad guys.
I’ve also done loads of mining, finding iron ore, gold and coal. I also found a desert temple thing. I’ve heard rumours that they are booby-trapped, so I mined in from the side and found four chests with gold, diamonds, string, bones and zombie flesh. I’m sure there was other things too, but they were of no interest to me. Of course I took the diamonds and gold. I made a golden armor and a diamond sword. I have enough to make a diamond pick axe.
I also made an anvil. I found out that you can actually name your sword or axe or whatever you’re trying to mend. It costs experience, of course, but it’s totally worth it having an axe called “Piddly Axe of Ouch” (made of stone, hence the piddly). You can’t use the anvil too many times, tho, before it starts to deteriorate. And it does take A LOT of iron to make. 31 pieces of iron. You have to make three iron blocks and so on. But it’s totally worth it. And iron is always something you come across. I also got lost, so I’ll need to make a map. I’ve got red stone, cause I’ve been mining, as I said. So I’ve got loads to do yet. I think I’ll make a garden later on. I have pumpkins near my house, so I got seeds from them. But yeah.. I got lost and I eventually, after two days of wandering, I found a cave I had been in before, and I knew somewhat where the house was. But I do need a map.
I’ll keep you updated as I go along.

Sunday update

Mood: Pretty good, actually.
Listening to: music, for a change. Heart – These Dreams.

So, I was at work yesterday. I haven’t really been there a whole lot lately, but I’m sure it’ll pick up soon. It has too, cause I need money for the Kiel trip we’re taking soon. It’s November now, and things are getting hectic. Just yesterday we had soo many people shop. But we still didn’t pass the budget. Oh, well. I’m sure it’ll pick up more the closer we get to Christmas. We’re all decked out on Advent now, so it’s starting to look a lot like Christmas. My boss and both Lindas from work are there now, getting things all decked more out for the holidays. And yes, I know it’s a while till then, but we need to sell stuff. And people actually do, even though first Sunday of Advent isn’t till December 2nd.
But yeah. I had a costumer in the store yesterday not wanting to leave when I was closing up shop. It seemed she’d rather stay and tell me about her chemo therapy. It’s a horrible thing, lady, but I still want to go home.

Anyway! I found this thing online ages ago, and it’s been forgotten ever since, but I thought I’d give it a shot now. It’s: Music to the Zombie Apocalypse.
The idea is that you put your music player on shuffle and so forth.

The first song is the overall theme of the Apocalypse.
Timmy T – One more try

The second song is the one that plays during your first zombie kill.
Alien Ant Farm – Smooth Criminal

The third son plays while you’re getting chased by a horde.
Placebo – Running up that hill

The fourth song plays when you’re forced to kill your loved one.
Hot Chelle – Tonight Tonight

The fifth song plays when you find your new love interest.
The Tokens – The Lion sleeps tonight

The sixth song plays when you make your final stand.
Don Felder – Takin a ride (Heavy Metal)

The seventh song plays when you (think you) make it though it all.
Heart – What about love

The eight song plays when you discover a bite mark on you.
July Crisis – ‘Till I lost control

So it seems I have some odd theme songs or something.
Well, I think I’m going to continue knitting my scarf. I bought some lovely Kashmir alpaca yarn yesterday. I’ve already knitted some wrist warmers with it, and it’s really nice and soft and warm.
And we got a new couch yesterday. Well, not really new. It was Jan’s mothers couch. And since her partner didn’t want it, we said we could take it.
It’s a little more red than I remembered, so now I have a red leather/sky couch… and I don’t know how I feel about it.. :p
The good thing about it is that if we decide to get a new one with a more matching colour, we can use this couch in the “gaming room” that I’ll be making once I get my ps3.
Speaking of matching. I’ve somewhat decided I want a gray shading in the living room.
Also at the mall where I work a new store is opening soon. I was thinking about maybe applying for a job there, but now I don’t know. If things seem to be what they seem to be, if that makes sense, then first off I don’t think I’d get a job there, and I wouldn’t want to work there because of the people already hired. I’m telling you, I’ve been so spoiled when it comes to co-workers. I don’t want to work anywhere else, really. I also found out that one of the girls placed at work through unemployment office has gotten a job somewhere else. Which, of course, is sad. But then again, it means she must be doing so much better than what she was, and that’s brilliant.
Well, I should start making dinner. I’m making a pea soup type thing with loads of beef in it. I hope it’s good.
If I think of more to write, I’ll update.

Friday night

Mood: Great!
Listening to: Well, I’m actually watching “Hoodwinked Too”.  Check this movie out. It’s hilarious!

Boy, have I had a relaxing day. The only strenous thing I did was to set the oven for when I made pizza for dinner. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I’ll do stuff tomorrow. I was busy watching people do stuff on Twitch.
Yesterday I got my DVD’s of V: The Complete Collection. I was thinking that when I’ve done what I need to tomorrow, I’ll make a marathon of it.. Unless I find out that there’s more stuff to watch on Twitch.  We’ll see what happens.
As for now… I want to have another drink, but I don’t want to run to the bathroom all night. It’s annoying that I’m well tired, and it’s only 8.20 pm. But there is nothing on TV and I’m bored. I’ll see what I can find online. Maybe I’ll find that Dark Tower wiki I found last night.
I’m sorry for not having anything of interest to tell you. Idk. Lemon, vodka and coke is an amazing mix. Try it out.

Wednesday meh’s

Mood: Meh
Listening to: July Crisis – Till I lost control.

I can’t really call them meh’s either. They are more *sighs* I think I need food, but I don’t have anything that I’d like to eat. I had scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast, but I should have had some bread with it.. but we don’t have bread I like. I know.. first world problems.  But if the bread makes you ill or makes you feel like crap when you eat it, why eat it?
Right now I’m waiting for Jan to get home so we can take a trip to the store. I just hope he remembers. If not I’ll be a little pissed at him. The sucky part is that he leaves his mobil in the car and won’t hear it if I call. And he doesn’t check it regularly, so I have no way of knowing if he sees any texts I send him. Ugh, annoyance.
OK, meh level has been risen to a nod. Music helps. But only if it’s somewhat upbeat.
Oh, great. It’s raining again.
I had some visitors in my garden earlier today. Deer. Roe deer, to be exact. They were having a great time under my apple tree, munching fallen fruit. I can’t really start removing those now. I mean, I’ve been leaving the fallen fruit for so long, a lot of animals rely on those reserves during the winter.
And I’m back again. I didn’t get bread, because we didn’t go to the store where they have awesome bread… so I looked for bagles instead, and they didn’t have that either. So chocohugs it is.

Not the best thing for me, granted, but it’ll keep me till I start dinner. But these are delicious. One of my favorit snacks.
And now I really want bagles with cream cheese. But I’m making japanese curry today, another one of my favorits.
I should go get things ready for dinner. I have potatoes, carrots and onions to peal… and dice. This is going to be sooo good. I can’t wait =D
Mood gone from nod to perky.  Chocolate is AWESOME!!

Sunday Round-up

Mood: Pretty good.
Listening to: The real James Heaney playing Demon’s Souls.

As you might know I work in a store. It’s not retail, I don’t think… We get our stuff from a warehouse which gets their stuff from manufacturers. We sell everything from candlesticks to lip balm, from yarn to candy. ANYWAY. It’s getting close to Halloween, and even though, until a few years ago, we don’t celebrate Halloween, we sell loads of Halloween stuff. To me it’s as commercialised as Valentines Day. Which I don’t celebrate either. When I was a kid we went around begging for candy on New Years Eve, dressed up as.. whatever we wanted to. After I moved I found out that here they go around and beg for candy around Christmas. Mostly dressed up as a mini Santa, I suppose. They had never heard of the New Years thing..
So… being a nation which doesn’t really celebrate Halloween, I get asked a lot when it is. I had one costumers say “Oh, I thought it moved around each year”. Well, kind of, but only in the way that makes it easier to celebrate. Like moving it to the weekend before and so on. Another costumer said “I thought it was earlier in the year….”. No, that would be Valentine’s Day. So, the second Halloween is over we have to demolish the store to get the new stuff in… Yupp, that would be Advent things.. and Christmas things.
Mind you. The Christmas candy has already hit the grocery stores.  I do love Christmas, don’t get me wrong. I just think we could hold things off till the last two weeks of November. Of course we need to load up the stores now to make the most money, but I just know some people are going to bitch about it. Especially with the new concept store we have now. Sure, we have all the same things we used to have, but less of some stuff and more of interior stuff, like candlesticks and tablecloths. If you’ve been eyeing something this week and holding off buying it, then we might not have it displayed next week because we rotate the merchandise much more than we used to. And if you looked at something this summer and hope we still have it… well, you’re shit out of luck. Even with the old concept we changed with the seasons. We will not be keeping the lovely spring/summer colours when it’s all dark and autumny outside. And yelling at me won’t get it all back. Come back next spring. We might just be getting things back. I think most people, even if they are thrilled with how the store has developed into what it is now, miss the part where they could get what they want when they want it. Most people don’t like change. I had one costumer tell me that -nille as a whole had lost itself in its development. It wasn’t the same and all this new stuff was just… not good. Yes, we used to have things that you could use once and then throw away. Yes, we are a little more expensive now than we used to be. But guess what. With the price comes quality. If you want cheap crap then there are other stores… I won’t name names, but you know who you are. But one costumer out of the hundreds we get in every day won’t dampen my mood. The rest of them seem happy with our selection and those are the ones we want to keep.
Enough of that, though.
What makes a well grown up woman, getting close to her retirement, start to spread rumours about former work colleagues?
Yeah, I have no idea. I just don’t get it. The people in question used to work together. They liked each other. Then the bookstore they worked in got shut down, and they were shifted to the same brand name bookstore close by. The old lady can be said to not really give a fuck… so she’d close the gate before she should and so forth. And the manager of that store found out… That and that she had been sitting behind the register, reading. A lot. And eventually the old lady found out who told on her. And that’s when she started spreading rumours. I had hitched a ride with her one day, and we talked about her co-worker, since we both know her. I like her, she’s a great girl. And the old lady said she liked her and she was great and there was nothing bad about her. A few days later she came over to me and said “Do you remember what I said in the car? Well, forget it. She’s a terrible person! Watch what you say around her, or it’ll come back at you.” Knowing this great girl I told her what had happened, and she knew somewhat what was going on. Yesterday at work the old lady was at it again.
The worst part is, she doesn’t care who she tells. If it was my workplace, and she was my employee, I’d fire her. But I guess it’s not that easy. But it makes for such a terrible feel around the place. I’m glad that this sweet girl has people who know her around the place, or she’s be lonely. The old lady has spread so many rumours around that she’s made other people in other stores whisper behind her back. It’s not right. Not right at all.
Anyway. I should make some dinner, I think.
Hoping to make a new update later in the week. Maybe I’ll make a Minecraft entry. I made a creative mode world. The house is AWESOME! And I have cats and dogs… and livestock. And now I just have to make sure I never lose the house. Maybe I should make a huge arrow in the sky. Hmmmm….
