Yes, it’s my birthday, and I’m turning 32. Honestly.. that’s no age….
Although, one does wish one had accomplished a little more than what one has, but I’m totally not complaining. I’m happy with where I am. I like myself as a person.
So… thus far in my birthday we, Jan and I, have been at the car dealership to have our car serviced. And while it was having its manicure and pedicure, we went to the closest mall and hung out there for a while… and then we moved to the other “mall” and hung out there for a while… and then to the electricstore. I was thinking about getting yet another portable disc (externat harddisc). I need it if I’m gonna download all of “The Big Bang Theory”
Or I can see if I have room on the other external I have… the one without power…
Or I can put some stuff I hardly ever watch on the old one, like Dexter and some movies, and then download BBT…
So yeah… I’ve really fallen for that series. I’m watching it online, but of course they don’t have all of them, so I’m missing practically all of season one.

As for the scarf…. I’m sorry, Tom Baker… I’m afraid it’ll take forever for me to finish it.
I heard my mother laugh about it behind my back, so I’m in no hurry to finish it.
And I still have my panda jacket hoodie… and I just know she’ll laugh at that too…

Anyways… I have to make dinner… mmm… pita bread tacos… ^_^

Listening to: the sound of my broken heart…. holiday all gone…

Well…
I’m sure I’ll get another long weekend or something, but for now it’s all gone…
I had four days in my home town… We left here on tuesday and arrived late tuesday evening… Basically we had dinner and went to bed, pretty much…
Wedensday: Nothing major happened, really. We went grocery shopping, and a delicious dinner and that was about it.
Thursday: I finally got to go to the fabric store, where I was supposed to get my maniquin so that I could have fun making clothes and stuff… When I got there I decided I wouldn’t get it, but I did get all the fabric I need for my new project. My mothers bf left to go back to his place. He had to help his son with something. And my dad called and asked us if we wanted to go out with him to chinese restaurant… and of course we did. I had beef and broccoli… So amazingly delicous, and I am SO making it again… this time I’m going it right… After that we went to have some drinks, and I found my new favorit drink. Bacardi and coke…. We went home early, because my dad had work the next day… When we got home we decided to play 10.000 (dice game), and my brother made me magraritas… mmmmmm
Friday: We went downtown. There’s a shop there that has just about everything, and I wanted some none stick thingies for when I bake… and I got a new baking tin… and I got me bacardi…. small bottle…
We grilled dinner that day… it was SO delicous.. I made my nummy marinade…. I’ll post the recipe another time. Oh, and my mothers bf came back. That night we did basically nothing. And my laptop wouldn’t work with my mothers new router… wireless… and I got pissed off and went to bed early.
Saturday: I shopped everything I can’t get here. Or have a ard time finding… Like hot sauce, mascavado sugar, dark break and long white bread… and boyonne ham… and cherry coke…
And I drank the bacardi I got… and we had leftover dinner from the day before… and we played 10.000 again… and it was all good… fun ending to my holiday… well, almost… my mum did wake me up at 3.20am when she was loading the dishwasher… and I didn’t get back to sleep till 4am… got up again at 8am… and got home late..
I could have taken pictures, but I didn’t… nothing really to take pictures of.. so yeah…

That was my holiday… :3

Good to be home, tho.. *snuggles computer*

*pretends to be dancing gingerly around* THEN WHO ARE WE TO DENY IT IN HEEEERE!!! (with cool english accent)

Yes, I am so very very bored. Not that I listen to Sweeney Todd only when I’m bored… it’s like the means to my unboredness…because I find really pleasure in listening to it. Especially the accents. They are the best. My problem is.. my english is kinda posh… but I try to unposh it.

And I’m so tired. Woke up at a little after 4am… sweating my eyeballs out… so I opened the door, went back to bed and couldn’t sleep. So I went to the toilet..went back to bed… still couldn’t sleep. At 4:45 am Jan woke up and went to work.. and right after he left I found out he forgot his cellphone because it was calling out to him, hoping to wake him up.. So after it had been calling three or four times I went down and threw a few pillows over it so I wouldn’t hear it… Went back to bed and sleep was nowhere to be found, so I read. Around 6am I finally fell back to sleep. Woke up at 7:45 am, took my pill and went back to sleep… Woke up again a little after 9 am…

“I’ll come again when you have judge on the menue *growl*”

So yeah… it’s been a long day…
AND one of the horses in one of the paddocs next to our house got out… ran about for a bit, sparred with another horse and then ran up to the garden belonging to the jail… and from there onto the road… and that’s the last I saw of it…
I’m pretty sure they found it, tho… they are good at their job, them people.. them hooorse people…

And then there’s the online movie thingie…
G, the movie putter-upper, has been putting up loads of movies lately, and I’ve had visitors and stuff… Well, my dad, but its still visit.. So now I’m finally caught up… and last weekend he put up movies even when he had said he wouldn’t… AND NOW!!! THIS weekend… no movie… typical… especially when I need it. Your fault, G… I’m bored.. I needed a movie… But it must be said that he is great! He found one of the movies I wanted to see… so I felt pretty special when he did that.. lol. Haven’t seen “Maximum Overdrive” in AAAAAAAGES… and poof… there is was…
The only thing I remembered from it was a green fogmist thing and a truck with a green clownface….
I had even forgotten that Emilio Estevez was in it…

Oh… and the scarf… I’m still working on it.  I just think I need a little more yarn and then I’m done…
Contemplating weather to get 4 or 5 balls of yarn each of the colours. I can always sell it back to the yarn lady..
And I got some other yarn I can sell back… I just hope I gots the reciept… heh… *sweats*
And its getting so long… last I tried it on it went from the floor, around my neck, down to my thighs and over my shoulder again… and like midway down my waist…
One thing is for sure… I won’t be cold this coming winter XD
I’ll be all cool and wrapped up like a mummy…

OOOH!!! Another new thing…
I bought a new shampoo and conditionar… schwazcopf (sp?) and some other person… it’s called Syoss…
I got the volume one… and my GOD!!!! It smells heavenly <3 and yeah… so far my hair is more poofy… but it might be my imagination… idk. It smells great and it works… like.. make my hair all clean, and that’s always a plus in a shampoo, yeah?

But now I can see the minute hand… on the digital clock on my computer ( -_- ) is 11 past 10.. which means… I can finally go to bed =D
Yes, I know it’s early, but I play Animal Crossing and then read, so time passes like poof… and when I finally do fall asleep it’s almost like midnight… What can I say.. I love my bed :3
And I need to brush my teef and stuff. So that takes a little time too… and well… I want to go to bed… Starting to freeze my toes off…

Anyways… I’m sure I’ll write again when I’m bored or have something else to write/bitch about… :3

Yeah, I just got back from seeing Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince…
To be honest, it was a good movie… although, of course, WB couldn’t help but change things… Oh, and before I go on… SPOLER ALERT!!!!!!

WB cockup… They did actually do a good job of following the book…. but… the Weasly house… WHY, and I do mean WHYYYYYYY did they blow the house up? It had NO meaning… There was absolutely NO point to it what so ever!!!!
My guess is that they had a period in the movie filled with no action time and decided “Meh, boring here… we need action… let’s burn the house down…” “Yeah, that’ll work…”
No, it doesn’t… it’s just annoying… This means that the house will either be miraculously restored for the next movie when the wedding happens OR the Weasley’s move somewhere without a forwarding adress..
I think that WB didn’t think about how Ron will be able to go on the advanture thingie with Harry… He’s supposed to be home from school.. having Dragon Pox or something… but he tought the house moaning spirit thingie to imirate him or whatever… if the house has been burned to the ground, the spirit thingie is gone too…
Anyways…
I guess I’m being way to chritical… this is the wizarding world we are speaking of, after all… lol.. anything can happen..

The best part, by far, to me, was when Ron was all lovestruck… Ruphert Grint is a very underastimated actor… He is good…

But now I am off to bed… Animal Crossing can’t play itself, you know…
Oh, excitement there too… I caught every bug there is in town not too long ago… I was very happy… lol

In other news…
It’s hotter here than it is… where it’s usually very hot… Outside the coast of Africa… Las Palmas and those kind of places…
It’s so hot here my teeth are sweating…
But I’m not complaining.. I’m sure I was begging for heat this winter.. lol
Well, thanks… just what I wanted… ^_^

I’ve also taken a knitting hiatus… in this heat I don’t feel it very tempting to knit.. So sorry, Tom Baker, but I will get the scarf done by fall… I will be wearing the lovely scarf later this year…
However, I know that the colours are all wrong, but I don’t care… it was the colours I had, so that’s what I’m using…
It’s still very late 70’s early 80’s feel to it.. and that’s what matters.

But if you excuse me, I’ll go cut my legs of and put them in the freezer..

So yeah…
I tried to update the blog entry about my Doctor Who scarf with pictures and stuff, but the “add an image” button isn’t working.
I so hope this isn’t going to be a trend… that it’s a tiny glitch… I just updated the thing, so they had better fix!

So… for now we’ll have to live without pictures… D=

And… over to something else.
I was watching Rachael Ray, as I often do… I find her program very entertaining and informative… anyways… for some reason she had Mariah Carey on… I’ve never really liked her… I don’t know why. Something about her that rubs me the wrong way. But I will say that she is a pretty woman… well, used to be… when she could move her face.
Honestly, I’m almost positive she had either been in an accident and couldn’t move beacuse she had a body cast under her clothes, but they were very tight fitting so I doubt that.
She had O.D’d on botox and been to the chiropractor and snapped her spine…
or she was hungover… on booze and pills… she seemed out of it..
I’m not saying this because I hate her guts, but she WAS weird. She hardly smiled, she hardly laughed, and when she did she sounded like a half dead seagul, and her body was so rigid you’d think she had a stick up her butt…
She was just weird… Surely she couldn’t be nervous… I don’t know anyone as down to earth as Rachael Ray… of course I’d do a fangirl squeel if I saw her, but I wouldn’t go all emotionless and look like a deer in headlights.
When you consider all the stars visiting RR, it was so painful to watch her talk to Carey…
My heart goes out to you, RR…

Anyways… I’ve ranted enough…
Now all I have to do is wait for the picture thingie to work again…

My mother is coming to visit. It’s only a few days… Leaving on Sunday.
We were expecting them to come somewhat late, but appearently they left early, so Jan and I suddenly got one hell of a short time to clean the floors and so forth.
It’s all done now, tho… so that’s good… I’m expecting them any minute.

In other news…
I read that President Obama is getting yelled at for killing a fly on live tv… A FLY, PEOPLE!!! A FUCKING FLY!!!! Like, there is none left in the world… *scowl* At least Obama managed to KILL the darn thing and not knock himself out in the attempt!

Well, I should go do somthing, I guess…

Mood: Tired and cold… even though cold isn’t a mood… But it does do something to my mood.. like.. drain me and give me headache and get me all pissy and stuff…

So yes..
I gots me The Sims 3.
Not played that much, but I have made some people, built a few houses… gotten jobs etc..
One thing that bugs me about the whole thing is that the house building mode is fucking with my head… I want the good old “slide with the mouse” thing, but here you have to rotate and zoom in or out.. and it never goes where you want it to go… *sighs* Maybe my problem is that I make too large houses…
And if you were wondering… the Motherlode cheat works… =D
Other than that I really don’t know what else I can tell you about Sims 3…

My Venus Flytrap… I think I killed it even before I planted the poor thing.. I’ve been waiting for.. what… 4 and a half weeks.. and nothing…
I don’t think I was meant to grow anything this year… which is fine, I think…

Well… I should go… do something or something…. but I am super bored today… *hangs head*

So.. I just got back from the dentist.. And I had no cavities XD
So yeah, I’m super happy about that.. And he was well chaffed that I had quit smoking and was flossing and stuff so yeah.. Happy dentist makes Lene happy too… and he really didn’t do a whole lot.. just removed some plack (or whatever it’s called) took some x-rays of my teeth and it cost me a small fortune. Luckily Jan offered to pay it for me.
He’s going to Germany tomorrow… I hope he has a good time.

Oh yeah… Creaking houses.
I was talking to my bud, Ellie… she’s home alone, and she got all upset about her house making weird noises. It is true.
I’ve notised the same thing with my house when Jan is working nights.
It always creaks a little more and louder when he’s not around..
Why is that???

We finally found out if Jan got the job or not…. He didn’t… Why?
Because the one who got the job will need Jan as his right hand man… And that Jan was the best right hand man they had there. And that with all the changes in store he’d need all the help he could get.
I know.. it’s totally fucked up.

I, personally, think that Jan didn’t get the job because he’s been working there for too long and he’d make too much money. The “kid” who got the job is younger than ME!
I know, I know… “How can Lene know that the guy isn’t the right guy for the job? The people who work there must know what they are talking about…”
I’ll have you know that I’ve worked at the factory, I’ve worked with the dude… and even though I haven’t worked with him for over 4 years, I don’t think he’d the right dude for the job.And the people who work there haven’t got a clue…
By them not hiring Jan is a clear example of how inept they are at hiring people… By hiring Jan’s foreman (the one that’s there now.. not the new one) they show how inept they are at hiring people.
And by keeping so so so many people who shouldn’t even BE at the factory shows how inept they are at the whole running a well oiled machinery thing.

They fire people who shouldn’t be fired and keeping/hire people who have no business there.
And before you guys start giving me crap about “oh, she’s just pissed she got fired”
I didn’t get fired.. As a temp I was just.. not used… But I had been working there for three years and I SHOULD have been hired. I would have done a damned good job too.  But they, again, fucked up by hiring people who shouldn’t be hired… and I got screwed over for it.
But on the other hand… If they hadn’t stopped using me I wouldn’t have gotten the job I had last summer.. the best job in the world…

Anyways… I’ve made buns today…
I didn’t make them yesterday… I had a bad case of lazy…

But on the bright side… they didn’t hire the other dick face OR the chick. So they were right there. I’ll give them that.
And I have to say they were delicious.
I have never made buns that big before.  And even though I screwed up a little with the kneading and stuff before it got the 50 min of rest to swell… they turned out great… =D
So at least something good came out of this..

Anyways… I just needed to vent…
Although, I have been venting to everyone who wants to listen… and so far it’s only Jan, Camilla and Ellie…
Jan vent back just as much, understandably… Camilla is.. well… idk… upset that he didn’t get the job, but not like it’s gonna ruin her life… as it shouldn’t.. lol
And Ellie agrees with me. He should have gotten the job.. Especially since her dad didn’t get the job he applied for.
But then Carma is a bitch, and things will come back to bite people in the ass…
We’ll see how good a choice they made… I know they made a poor one… I hope for their sake I’m wrong, but I know I’m not…
