Listening to: July Crisis – Till I lost control

I think I need food. I am kind of hungry. But I don’t want anything.
I ordered some stuff off of ebay weeks and weeks ago. Cuticle scissors and a ginger grater. I got the scissors about a week ago.. No news regarding the ginger grater. I can’t wait to get it. I’ll start making good foods again. Or.. the dishes I’m making will have more grated ginger and garlic in them. I was watching TV earlier and I saw a huuuuge steak, and I remembered having beef in the freezer. I should make something with it. Cut it up and boil it in gravy for hours and hours till it’s so tender it melts on your tongue. I need beef.
I also am starting to hate my computer more and more. Now Java is borked on it. I can’t get anything using java to work. I can’t log into my bank.. I can’t get the chat room on the movie site to work. It’s really frustrating. It keeps telling me that I don’t have java installed on my computer, which is bullshit because I KNOW I have java installed. I’ve installed it like three times trying to get the fucker to work. So I have no idea what to do. I could delete the whole thing and install win7 on it. Maybe that’d teach it a lesson.
I was watching loads of movies this morning. “The guy from Harlem”, “Peter Pan (2003)”. OK, so not loads. I was looking at some rifftrax vids on youtube and they had one on “The guy from Harlem” so I had to check the movie out. That thing is bad. I can see why they decided to riff it. I want to order the movie with riffs, but it’s kind of expensive. I could wait a month or so, see how the economy holds up. I seriously need to win the lottery. At least enough to balance out the expenses. My friend Linda suggested I’d take up a loan at the bank. Yeah, but I need to be able to pay the loan back too without starving each month, so I am deciding not to go that rout. Not that I think any bank would give me a loan. Not that I have bad credit. I have no credit cards and I refuse to get one. I don’t want to spend money I don’t have. I’m scared to death, almost, of debt. But I don’t earn a whole lot of money, so why should I get a loan I can’t repay? Besides… I’d rather ask my dad for it :p
I think I know what I need… some upbeat music.
Well, I’m back from the store. I got garlic baguettes for dinner today. I can’t wait. Delicious Mexican stew thingie with lovely garlic baguettes. I also got pork crackling. Soooo good. And I got coke for the movie later today. I think I’m going to need it. We’re watching “Biker Zombies from Detroit”. I haven’t watched it before.. and I’ve heard it’s painful to watch. Only time will tell.
Oh, yeah. Peter Pan. I haven’t seen the movie in ages. And even though it’s a good story, I can’t help but really dislike Peter. Why? Well, because he’s a douche. Just see how he irks Hook so, calling him old and unloved. Psha! I say. Why, if I were one of the pirates I’d love on Hook so bad. But only if the Hook was played by Jason Isaacs… I love his wickedness. Yeah, I know. But look at it this way. Hook is a pirate, he’s supposed to be mean. Needless to say I didn’t see the part where he gets eaten by the fucking crocodile. Stupid kid.
I was thinking about writing a movie review if it, but I can’t be arsed. I am not in the mood to. I need a really, really good movie to write a review about. I need a good movie that inspires me to write. I have’t seen one of them in ages.
I hope I get out of my funk.

Listening to: My music has been stolen again, so while I’m waiting to get my Ice Box back, I’m listening to Mitch from GameFront play Demon’s Souls on Youtune. These guys are hilarious. I’ve been watching James’ walk through of Skyrim and Dark Souls… and it’s just hilarious. At first you get annoyed at him, but then, after some time passes and you manage to stick through it even though you’re annoyed at him, it’s just the way James is… and when he fucks up royally you just go “Ah, James… ” with a bit of a chuckle and a head shake.

So yeah.
It’s been a while. I haven’t had a whole lot to post about, really. Been working and that’s about it. Oh, also been to Askim with Linda and two friends of hers. Zizzi, the plus size clothing store, opened up a store there, so I thought I’d check it out to see if they had any Opening Day sales items… and they did. Not a whole lot what I thought it would be… But I did find a really smashing top… it was 320 kr off, so of course I’m jumping at the opportunity. It’ll be so heavenly to wear when it’s hot outside and I’ve just gotten out of the shower after working on the new porsche we’re planning on making in the front of the house.
But we had a great time.. well, I did.. I can’t speak for anyone else, really. And we had a really lovely lunch at a small restaurant/coffee shop type place. Chinese… was so good.. They got crispy chicken and I got beef with veggies in Teriyaki sauce. Yummy yummy.
I’ve also gotten a tripod for my digital camera and I was hoping I’d get to go out and take pictures of Betelgeuse and Andromeda… but of course it’s been shitty weather… But today it seems promising. Cloudy, but I’m hoping they’ll go away.
Other than that I can’t say much has happened. If I get some cracking pictures of Orion later on I’ll post them. But I think I’ll need a greater zoom lense for my camera. I’ll add it to the list as well.. lol
But now I’m going to make me some tea and just sit and relax.. and hope this cold goes away soon…

Listening to: Mitch, on Youtube, playing Demon’s Souls (GameFrontDotCom). I watched one of his episodes on Dark Souls and I heard he did Demon’s Souls, and I’ve never seen anyone playing that game, so I thought I’d check it out. And it’s fun… well, funny.

Regarding Dark Souls. I’ve heard, and seen, that it’s a very difficult game. I think I’d get really frustrated playing it, so that’s why I watch others play it. I think I’d get too pissed off at things re-spawning all the time. I mean, I know that Diablo 2 had their nasties re-spawn, but not in the same game as you’re playing.
My list of games I want is starting to get really long. Topping the list at the moment, because I will actually be able to play it on my computer, is Sims 3 Holiday thing. I saw a trailer, and in the game you’ll be able to go to f.ex. Egypt and go exploring in the pyramids. Or go to Asia and learn karate. Next on the list is Skyrim. I either need a new computer for it or a PS3. I want a PS3, too, cause I want Little Big Planet… And now it seems that we have to wait even longer for Diablo 3 to be released. I mean, guys… Come on! We’re dying here! I still need a new computer to play Diablo 3, so it’s not a REAL hurry… just… this year, please :3
I hope I get a new computer this year. I doubt it’ll happen, but it would be nice. At least get things so that I can upgrade the one I have. But that’ll mean a full upgrade of EVERYTHING, and that’s expensive… so I might as well just get a new one… quad-core, of course… heh… <.<;;;;
Anywho. I just finished baking. I made cinnamon rolls. Soooo goood cinnamon rolls.
Other than that I don’t think there is more to say. Only that I don’t have snacks for movie time tonight. Unless Jan is nice and drives me to the store when he gets home. We’ll see.
So I guess I’ll catch you later. I’ll update if I have anything new.

Not that I celebrate it. I might get some strawberries and dip them in chocolate. That’ll be the extent of my celebrationeness of Valentines Day.
I don’t need this day to remind me or make me show that I love Jan. I hope I show him every day, and I don’t need to give him stuff to prove it. Not that I think he’d like to get a bear with a heart that says “I love you”. He’d laugh at it and shake his head a little.
So yeah. Enjoy the day. Celebrate it if you want to.

Nothing has really happened at all. Worked Monday, did bosslady a favour on Tuesday posting some stuff for her, worked yesterday, and that’s about it. Yeah, I know. So f’ing exciting.
I also started reading a new book, starring Inspector Morse. In case you don’t know it’s a TV series.. or was. Anywho…. I’ve been reading it, and I figured out who did it before they did.. yay.. lol.
I think it’s called “the way through the forest” or something along those lines in English. I am, for once, reading a book in Norwegian. Actually, in the book there are two separate Morse stories, and I started the other one this morning when I couldn’t get back to sleep. Seems interesting. But I’m pretty sure that when I’m done with that book I’ll go back to Stephen King and one of his many books. I think I’ll try to continue reading “Insomnia”. I might have stopped reading it right before it got interesting.. just like when I read Lord of the Rings the first time. I should also get The Stand done. But I don’t know. It gave me weird dreams. Not of an old lady or a red scary dude or anything.. they were just weird… so I had to give it a break. I might even read IT again.

Well, I guess that’s about it, really. Nothing major happened this week.

So, yeah.
Nothing much has happened lately, other than it’s been freezingly cold here. But it’s winter, so what can you do. Last night when Jan left for work it had started snowing. It’s still snowing.. Luckily it’s not a whole lot, so it’s possible to drive through it. However, if it continues like this it’ll be harder to do so. We’ll see later when Jan leaves for work again. Either he’ll be OK or I’ll have to push him.. or rather push the car.
Also we have mice. Well, I killed one last night, so I don’t know if we still have them. I’m sorry, but I’d rather kill them with a trap than put out bate and have them die in the walls. That’ll leave a stank! I guess it was a few days ago… a week max, that I heard something moving in the dining room, which really is the living room/dining room area… lol, so posh. Anyways, I told Jan and since we couldn’t find a trap we had to wait. The next day it was over by my computer, at which point I WANT A TRAP!!!! So we got a trap, Norwegian design. I haven’t used one of these before, so it was interesting to see if it’d work. I also got some nutella knock off and out it on a newspaper and put the trap over it. And so started the waiting game. While waiting I’ve been following TheRadBrad on youtube; his play through of Heavy Rain is great. And when his girlfriend is helping it’s just hilarious. I’ve also watched Vash12349’s play through of Sly Cooper. I think he was one of the first people I started to follow on youtube. I think it was his Dark Space that got me hooked. He’s great at what he does, and the way he doesn’t give a shit what people think of his playthroughs, how he only plays the games that he wants to play etc. well, I feel that it’s how is should be done. If you want someone who doesn’t swear and so on, go find another player. There are a lot of them.
Anyways. I waited for days and days before the f’ing mouse finally got caught in the trap. I just escorted him out and gave him/her a snowy burial.. meaning I dumped him on the ground in the snow.
If only I could get the mice to understand that this house is not a good house to break into. I’ll only end up killing them. Maybe I should chop the tiny mouse’s head of and put it on a toothpick as a warning to the other mice.
Other than that nothing else has happened. I worked on Friday, had a great old time, as always. And right now I’m enjoying a lovely can of Cherry Coke. I love that stuff. Too bad I don’t have ice cubes. But straight from the can is OK too..
I’ll see if I can be bothered to write a movie review one of these days.

So, the car.
On Thursday Jan’s brother came and helped him out with fixing it. Jan had already talked to a few motor parts places and ordered a Sim-ring… Don’t ask me what… I have no idea what it is in English. But they had a look at the engine and figured out within minutes that it was hole in the oil filter. Which is great =D
Problem solved right away. No need to put it in the shops and have expensive things done to it. We were well pleased.
On Friday I was supposed to have the day off, but Linda, one of my coworkers called me and asked if I could work for her. She was not feeling good, so I did. And then I had work yesterday. 8 hours, which is rare for us. I worked with Karoline, the boss’ daughter. Boss-lady called me before she got there and told me to be good to her.. lol. She was feeling a little nervous, but when she got there I told her she had nothing to worry about. She got everything she needs to know in her head, and things will get back to her as she’s working. So, she did great yesterday. I was the one that messed up a few times.. lol. But I didn’t get as whiped out as I thought I was going to be. Although, I didn’t have the energy to make us Tacos for dinner last night. I’m saving that for tonight.. mmm… tacos.
Other than that nothing major has happened.
I’ve made the blog even better looking now, I feel. More like how I want it.
I’ve also been thinking a little about the movie reviews, that I might add some photos and stuff. We’ll see. I just want a little more life in them. And maybe, just maybe, my next review will be Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. We’ll see. It’s a long ass review.
But now I’m off to do some research. I found something on the Internet, something regarding Harry Potter world. In Order of the Phoenix one of the professors at Hogwarts, Prof. Umbridge, gets dragged off by Centaurs. I read something that supposedly was in the book, indicating that they had their wicked way with her. That’s what I’m going to find out if is true. It just seems weird that Rowling would add something like that, and I can’t remember reading about it in the book. So, that’s why I’m checking into it. So, off to find the book.

So yeah.
I haven’t really been in the mood to post anything. Seeing as the blog isn’t what it used to be, and I’m annoying it’s not… I guess I’ll keep going till I find a theme I like. Thus far, nope.
As I mentioned last entry I was going to Sweden, and we did indeed go. He he. We, Linda, Gunn and I, had a great time… well, I did, and that’s what matters. I found new shoes (yay), new jeans (yay) and some tops (kinda yay, but not what I was after). I also found some really cute knee socks… kinda Lolita looking, but since I’ll be wearing them under pants, I don’t think it matters. I also found some really thick, nice, warm, fluffy socks for warmth. And of course Cherry Coke, Arizona Green Tea with Honey and Ginseng, 7up and orange fanta… and candy.
I also found some TV trays with japanese influence on them. Sakura and a Geisha.
Other than that nothing… OH YEAH!! THE CAR.
So yesterday we went to the store to get some stuff for dinner (Japanese curry YUMM), and when we came out we saw what appearend to be a line of oil following our car. We wasn’t sure if it was from our car, because it’s a public parkinglot and alot of cars park there. So I said “we’ll see when we get home. If there’s a line out of our driveway, we’ll see…” and sure enough, there was a black line in our drive way. We have no idea what’s busted; if it’s the hose, the filter or what… and we won’t be able to figure things out till Saturday… Well, Jan won’t be… He’s the one having to fix it.. hehe.. I have work on Saturday. ALL DAY! (omg).. but I’m working with Karoline (bosslady’s daughter), so I’ll be fine. I’ll just have to bring a chair to sit on, I think, at the end of the day. But yeah. Of course it had to happen now. If you backtrack these entries, I’m sure you’ll find about two years ago we had an issue with the clutch.. and last year we had the breaks… And putting the car in a garage to get it fixed for us is out of the question. Those places are hellaspencive!!! And Jan is handy and can fix stuff, so we’ll see what we’ll see. If he breaks anything then he has to get it to a garage, but atleast he tried. When the clutch broke he took it to a garage, the Mitsubichi attached garage here in Mysen, and they blamed him for the issues, they said he was riding the clutch, which he is not!! I mean… how fucking stupid can you get? Well, anyway. I’ll be a buss rider… and that’s fine. I’ll just get home alot later than I would if he picked me up… Unless, it’s an easy fix and he surprices me with picking me up. I can but hope.. lol.
Other than that I don’t think there is anything new.
I’ll try to update on Sunday… if I can be bothered. Well, I should to let you know how the car is.. lol

Not a whole lot has happened this week. Not really. Same old. Working, playing Sims… The only thing that is really bugging me about Sims 3 is that the family I’m playing with the most, the Deans (Eddie, Susannah, Jake and Hedda), won’t leave the dog, Oy, alone. They get up in the mornings and line up to play with the dog. They don’t care of the poor thing is tired, hungry or anything… And THEY complain about being hungry, stinky and all that as they are lining up to play with the dog. It’s like Oy has a hold on them, and in this vicious hold they all suffer. Hedda is the only cat person, so the cat gets minimum of pettings and stuff, cause Hedda got school. OK, the others give her some affection too, but it’s still not as much as the dog. Not to mention the horse. Jeesh… He’s a great runner, but some of the things he wants to achieve, like jumping a bull hurdle or whatever… which I’ve given him and he has done… won’t register.. So I don’t know if he has to do it away from home or what. I did go to a horse park thing with him and had him jump stuff, but that did nothing. But I AM going to play later. I need those pets to grow up.. lol.
I’m thinking about maybe having Jake move out. He’s so moody it’s not even funny. I’ve never had a Sim that pissed off in the mornings sometimes. It’s not even funny. But he’s becoming a good writer.. or tale spinner.. which is kinda funny. I should also stop giving people a sense of humor as one of their main traits… Susannah does, and she laughs as everything.. and I do mean everything. Yell at the dog for pissing the floor, laugh at him being sad. Yell at your daughter for skipping school, laugh it off a second later. Watch as the police wrestle a burglar, laugh as the burglar runs off. One might think she’s mental…
But yeah… for eveyrone’s sanity I think I should give them jobs… And it’ll be easier for Eddie to achieve his live goal… unless I change it.. I don’t know, yet.. we’ll see…

Oh yeah… Movie tonight is “Heavy Metal”, and I’m really stoked on it!!!
So I guess I’d better gather some cats and put them in the cat contraption.. lol.
I seriously wonder how many people tried to get cat sprayed after South Park did that episode.

Anyways. I might make Snicker doodles later. I haven’t decided yet. I have everything I need, just not the will, I guess.. Not yet, anyway.
Oh, going to Sweden tomorrow with Linda from work.. and Gunn, a friend of hers. I’m looking forward to it. Should be great fun =D
If I remember it next Sunday, I’ll list what I got.. hehehe…

Listening to: Hang on.. I need something.. There – EclipseTen playing Diablo 2 with some people.. posted on Youtube. He had a video of the Beta of Diablo 3 a few days ago. I’m so jealous…

Anyway.
A new week has passed and I’ve been working. I’ve also gotten sick. Yeah, that happened last Sunday while I was at work. I was hungry, got an apple, ate it without washing my fingers first. Stupid of me, I know. I felt a scratch in my throat on Monday, Tuesday my nose started running, Wednesday I was even runnier, Thursday I started getting a little better, Friday better still, Saturday even better and today I’m good. Not all the way back to normal, but hey.. when will I ever be. I’m still sniffly, but not as bad as I was. Worst part is that it’s all caked goo… like when I blow my nose it comes out all pale yellow and icky. And what I caught up is about the same. But it’s better to get it out than keeping it in.. seriously… blarch. I’m pretty glad that, even though I did get sick, I’m getting better so fast. I think I only had a slight fever when I was at work on Wednesday. But it’s not the first time I’ve been working with a fever, feeling like death.. not that I did on Wednesday… At the factory I worked before I had to work… I could of course have called in sick, but then they would have been one person short.. and being the duty conscious person I am, I worked… did the best I could… almost coughed up a lunge in the process… but that’s how it goes sometimes. Sick Days are for when you’ve got something serious the matter with you.. not when you just have a cold… But that’s just me. I’m pretty sure people will be rawr at that, but it’s my opinion.

So… Less than a week till Christmas. My mom gave me money to get me something nice I wanted. Ages ago I bought 12 dinner plates, small plates and deep plates from the store I used to work.. and I noticed that, the store that started up when the other one went bankrupt had the same series, so I noticed them having serving-plates and -bowls, and I had mentioned to mom that I wanted the serving plates.. cause it’ll look really cool… But unfortunately it turns out that the series is discontinued and there were only two serving bowls left… so I got them… Oh, yes. Imma rock them! Thanks for the lovely gift, mom. I really love it =D
My dad gave us all our gifts when we were visiting, and I loved that too, dad. Thank you very much.
From my grandma I got a decorative tree thing… acrylic… with lights inside that changes color. It’s really cool.
From my brother I don’t know yet. I think I might get some Stephen King books.
OH!!! And when Jan got home from work yesterday I got a note from the post office telling me my MOM has sent me yet MORE Christmas gifts… O.o Whaaat??? I’ll pick it up tomorrow. Wonder what it is.. Yes, when I get it in the house I’m sure there will be gift squeezingness.

And then there is the movie today. We’ll be watching Santa Claus conquers the Martians. I’ll be starting drinking soon, so I won’t be too worried. Oh, yes. I’ve discovered that 7-up and vodka is DELICIOUS!!! Almost as good as Captain Morgan and coke… but yeah.. that will be my poison of choice tonight.

Other than that nothing exciting has happened. Except that I hate people.. lol. No, not really. But some costumers are really annoying when they get all buddy-buddy with you just because you’re nice to them. I mean, seriously. I’m nice to all my costumers. To think you get special treatment doesn’t make it so. If I REALLY like you I’ll give you that little bit extra, but mostly it’s reserved for nice, little old ladies. I made one of them squee on Saturday when I was at work. She said she was just a little old lady pensioner and I told her I didn’t believe for a second that she was old… and she squeed. It was kinda cute. The girl I worked with also told me something I had forgotten. We had worked together earlier and a costumer asked me if we had some specific candles, and I asked her how the candles looked and all that, and the more I asked her, the more excited she got… until I had to tell her that “sorry, we’re all out”. She, my coworker, almost pissed herself laughing… and when she told me about the incident, I almost did too.. I wasn’t aware that I was doing it.. like raising a persons hopes, only to dash them on the rocky shores of “sorry, we’re all out”… But the thing is, we have so many things that look alike, that sometimes you have to get to the bottom of what they are after to know what they are after. Like one costumer called us and asked if we had a “Kii-boward” (that’s the closest I can get.. remember this is in Norwegian). I asked her what it was for, I thought she was talking about a key-closet thing, which we don’t have. And she told it was to play on and that she wanted to talk to someone that knew what she was talking about. As soon as she said it was to play on I realised it was the cheap ass keyboards we sell, and I told her that, yes, we do in fact have them. So yeah, you have to have a thick skin working with people. Some of them can be really nasty. But then there are those nice, little old ladies that just makes your day. And not only them, really. Just a costumer that takes your joke and laughs… I was wrapping a lantern for a costumer. It was round and when I finished I told the costumer that I hoped the person receiving the gift didn’t have a volleyball at the top of his or her wish list, cause he or she will be very disappointed… and she laughed. I guess that’s what I really enjoy about the job. The interaction.

Well, I should start dinner. I’ll update if there is something worth updating with, but I doubt it.
